A 1:45 half marathon is 8:01 per mile, or 4:59 per kilometer, for 13.1 miles: 5K in 24:53, 10K in 49:46, 15K in 1:14:39 and 10 miles in 1:20:06.
The rounded pace misses. The exact pace is 8:00.6 per mile, and 8:01 held for 13.1 miles finishes in 1:45:06. Round down to 8:00, the 8-minute mile, and you finish in 1:44:53. That is also an easy number to set on a treadmill: 8:00 per mile is exactly 7.5 mph. In kilometers, 4:59 per km finishes in 1:45:08 and 4:58 per km in 1:44:47.
For a margin, 7:56 per mile finishes in 1:44:00. The 2% negative-split column starts slower, at 8:05 per mile to halfway (53:02 at 6.55 miles), then runs 7:56 per mile; it reaches 10 miles in 1:20:21, 15 seconds behind the even plan, and makes that up over the last 5K.
Because a half is exactly half a marathon, 1:45:00 is the same pace as a 3:30 marathon. Riegel's formula, used by the marathon time calculator, predicts a 3:38:55 marathon from a 1:45:00 half instead, for a runner trained for the longer race. The race predictor puts the same half level with a 47:35 10K and a 22:50 5K.
